May 20, 2020 SALON 414 Reopening update!
Since the March 24th closure we have had our reopening date delayed three times. We feel it is best to wait until we get the 100% YES you can open to reschedule clients. I thank each of you for your patience and understanding during this time.

May 4, 2020 SALON 414 UPDATE
Thank for being a loyal and supportive client of Salon 414. We value your belief in us, and we have always taken your safety & health with the upmost seriousness and care. As licensed professionals it is not only our job, it’s our commitment. The recent events of this crisis have changed the way each of us live our lives & that’s no different here at the salon. With that in mind we want walk you through what we are doing as a business to ensure your safety and health.
Please review this and let myself or Amy know if you have any questions or if there are ideas or suggestions you have that can help us serve you and every guest we cherish here at Salon 414. Your care and comfort mean everything to us. Thank you for taking a moment to review this. We appreciate your support.
Our business hours will be changing temporarily in order to accommodate each stylist working by themselves.
If a team member is sick or displaying symptoms they will stay home or be sent home to take care of themselves and the environment.
We will wear disposable gloves and masks that we will change for each client service
We use cleaning agents and sanitizers for our equipment to sterilize them in between each service.
We follow strict guidelines as part of our requirements to maintain our license
We offer “touch free” credit card processing terminals to lessen contact and promote less cash exchange
We wipe down our credit card terminals, seats, stations, shampoo bowls, tables, door handles, menus, phones, and any area that comes into regular contact between each client.
We are adding more time to appointments to help us clean and sanitize the environment in between guest visits.
It is our policy that we will wash our hands in between each appointment.
We will pass a Health & Sanitation Test with a score of 100% in order to work with you and provide you the service you expect from us.
All products that you purchase have been cleaned and sanitized prior to your purchase to ensure your safety
We have taken during our time off the Barbicide certification course in disinfection
Purchased an Ozone Generator that will run each night after closing. This unit will deodorize, disinfect & purify.

We are all in this together. In order to serve you to the standards we are committed to, we ask that you work with us to help keep you and everyone in the business safe.
Please support us with the following steps:
Please come alone for your appointment, no one will be allowed inside with you during your appointment
Clients will need to bring their own mask & keep it on during their entire appointment
Until health directives allow, we ask that you kindly wait in your car and we will call or text you when we are ready to serve you
Please wash your hands when you arrive and before you leave.
We will have hand sanitizing stations at the front door, desk & stylist station
If you are sick or feel any symptoms of sickness, we ask that you reschedule your appointment with us
It has been suggested that salons eliminate blow drys to help decrease the spread of germs Touchless temperatures will be taken upon arrival
You may be asked to fill out a COVID-19 consent form

Many of you have asked what have Amy & I been up to during this time!

I hope that each of you are well & safe. Tuesday March 24th around 10pm I locked the door to Salon 414. Coming in that day I didn't realize how emotional this would be. I am so thankful for my clients. I am humbled by the way you have reached out to me to make sure myself and family are doing well. I have sat here at home looking through the pages of my schedule reading through all of your names. I am so grateful for your loyalty to me & your friendship.
I miss you all and working along side my best friend Amy. Over the past weeks I have enjoyed my time off with my family. Jesse & I have gotten a lot of projects done around our home. He actually has been off this entire time as well. I think this is the most time we have spent together in a long time! Last week we spent 3 entire days cleaning out our garage! Emily & Ethan are doing great. Manassas City Schools is doing distance learning and I am 100% pleased with how they have communicated with us parents and their students! Emily has her dance classes 4 nights a week through Zoom with Stagedoor Dance Studio. Ethan has a schedule that he and Jesse set up for keeping up with his baseball training! We now have a pitchers mound in our backyard. We celebrated Emily's 14th birthday in April. We had the house decorated & made the whole day about her! We have watched Netflix, put puzzles together, painted pottery, taken several bike rides & walks around town. Probably what we have enjoyed the most is sitting at the dinner table each night together! I am looking forward though to seeing all of you again soon!

Hello friends! I miss all of you tremendously. My family and I are making the best of our quarantine time. We are fortunate that my husband has been working from home, Rachel is finishing up her second semester from the comforts of home and Tyler is safe at sea with a healthy ship. I have been a cooking queen dusting off the cookbook and making everyone happy. My dog is loving us being home and has had the pleasure of a dog version of scalp massages. We have been working on a few updates to the house but we had that in the works before all of this happened. All and all other than missing Michelle and all of you, this time has been a blessing. We are grateful for our family time and making the best of a crazy situation. I can not wait to get back to the salon and see all of you soon!
